CostCompass Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CostCompass ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.

2. Definitions

  • "User" / "You" — any individual or entity using the Service.
  • "Content" — API keys, credentials, usage data, or other materials you provide to the Service.

3. User Accounts

  • You must create an account to use certain features.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information.
  • You must provide accurate and current information.

4. License & Acceptable Use

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

5. API Keys & Credentials

  • You retain full ownership of any API keys or credentials you provide.
  • You grant CostCompass a limited, non-exclusive license to use your credentials solely to retrieve usage data on your behalf.
  • You are responsible for the security and validity of credentials you provide.
  • CostCompass does not use your credentials for any purpose other than fetching your usage data from the named provider.

6. Payments & Subscriptions (If Applicable)

  • Fees and billing cycles are listed on the pricing page.
  • We may change pricing with reasonable notice.
  • Failure to pay may result in account suspension.

7. Termination

7.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, all stored credentials and usage data will be removed.

7.2 By CostCompass

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

  • You violate these Terms.
  • We are required by law.
  • Service continuity requires it.

Upon termination, your data may be deleted according to our retention policy.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation. Cost and usage figures displayed are sourced from third-party providers and may not reflect exact billing.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • CostCompass is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in the past 12 months, or $0 if the Service was free.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CostCompass and its affiliates from any claims arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your infringement of third-party rights

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, USA. Disputes will be resolved via arbitration or a court in Georgia, USA, unless prohibited by law.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance.
